Magnit’s share of online sales exceeds one percent of the company’s TOTAL revenue

Krasnodar, Russia (October 29, 2021): Magnit PJSC (MOEX and LSE: MGNT; the company, Magnit), one of Russia’s leading retailers, reports that the company’s e-commerce services GMV has exceeded 1% of the retailer’s total revenue over the course of of the last week of October.

Magnit’s total e-commerce GMV (including VAT) was 2.9 billion rubles in the third quarter, contributing more than half of the nine-month e-commerce GMV of 5.2 billion rubles. Magnit now processes over 50,000 orders per day.

The average ticket across all online services was approx. 969 RUB VAT included. This average ticket was around 2.7 times higher than in convenience stores (356 RUB in 3Q 2021). This was mainly due to a higher number of items per basket. The average ticket within Magnit’s own delivery service was 1,202 RUB.

Magnit has been piloting e-commerce services since the third quarter of 2020. The Company is currently leading a number of online delivery projects, including clean delivery and partnerships (express delivery, regular delivery, e-pharma, cosmetics and partnerships) . The highest sales and the most dynamic growth are illustrated by the express delivery segment where orders are fulfilled within an hour.

Magnit’s e-commerce services today cover more than 2,700 offline stores and 15 dark stores in 64 regions and 267 cities, with 66% of current revenue generated outside of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Within the 3rd quarter, the company increased the number of cities covered by 2.5 times. By the end of 2021, Magnit plans to have more than 4,000 stores in all formats covered by e-commerce services, including Magnit delivery and partnerships.
