Revolt Motors sells electric bicycles within minutes of online sales opening
Revolt Motors saw another round of massive electrifying sales on Thursday with its e-bikes sold out minutes after online sales opened, the RattanIndia-backed electric vehicle maker said Thursday.
The company had already reopened sales on June 18, but was forced to slow down the process within two hours of the recovery due to heavy rush.
This time, reservations were closed minutes after sales began on Revolt’s website, the company said in a statement.
Revolt Motors said the sales took place amid oil prices hitting over Rs 100 in several cities. He added that with the cost of running the Revolt electric bikes being Rs 9 per 100km compared to gasoline bikes costing Rs 250 per 100km, the cost savings for his RV400 bikes are hard to miss.
Besides the RV 400 model, the Gurugram-based electric vehicle manufacturer also manufactures and sells the RV 300 motorcycle model.
According to Revolt Motors, with the prices of batteries coming down, the prices of electric bikes are already comparable to those of their gasoline-powered counterparts. In addition, various state governments offer significant incentives to customers who purchase electric bikes.
Anjali Rattan, Corporate President of RattanIndia Enterprises, said: “The Revolt bikes sold in minutes are a strong testament to the quality of Revolt products. With gasoline prices reaching over Rs 100 in the country, it’s hard for customers to miss the huge savings that Revolt bikes bring. “
Revolt Motors General Manager Rahul Sharma said: “Another round of successful sales from Revolt clearly shows that Indian customers are quickly adopting higher quality products. We are working tirelessly to further increase our production capacities to meet this huge demand.
